The NMEA 2026 Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa, and Marina located in Cambridge, Maryland, where most conference activities will take place. Transportation will be provided to the evening event held at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Optional field trips may require transportation.

Trains
Amtrak does not have a station in or immediately near Cambridge, Maryland. The closest options are BWI Rail Station in Baltimore, and Union Station in Washington, D.C. Union Station has a variety of rental cars on-site, and is a ~1 hr 50 min drive from the conference hotel. Cars cannot be rented directly from the BWI Rail Station, but rental services are available at BWI Airport. A free, short shuttle ride connects the Amtrak station to a variety of airport rental car rentals.
Cars & Parking
Renting a car is recommended for easiest travel to Cambridge and getting around locally. Rental cars are available at the airport and train stations listed above. Self-parking is included with the resort fees. Valet parking is available at the main entrance for $10 (rates may change). Parking availability is limited and subject to space.
Rideshare & Public Transportation
Taxis and rideshare services (Uber and Lyft) are available at major airports and in Cambridge, though service may be more limited on the Eastern Shore than in urban areas. There are commuter buses available but have very long travel times, so these are not a practical option for transportation between airports or train stations and Cambridge.
