NMEA is excited to host our Whale of a Share-a-Thon at the 2026 National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) National Conference in Anaheim, California! This annual event gives NMEA members the chance to showcase their projects, lessons, and hands-on activities with hundreds of science and STEM educators right in the NSTA exhibit hall.
Themed “Growing Together: Collective Insights for Lifelong Learning,” NSTA 2026 will bring together educators from across the country for four days of collaboration, inspiration, and professional growth. The Whale of a Share-a-Thon is a highlight for conference participants, offering practical, classroom-ready resources and new ideas to spark curiosity and learning.
Find NMEA in the Exhibit Hall All Week
In addition to the Share-a-Thon, NMEA will be exhibiting throughout the entire NSTA conference. Stop by our booth to learn more about our programs, initiatives, and how to get involved. We’ll be spreading the word about NMEA and ocean literacy, answering questions, and sharing resources with educators from across the country.
How it Works
Each participating NMEA member or chapter is provided with a table, poster board, and easel.
Participation in the Share-a-Thon is free, but individual NSTA registration (full conference or Friday-only) is required.
Spaces will be available on a first-come basis—stay tuned for registration details.
Why Participate?
Connect with hundreds of educators in a high-traffic area of the NSTA exhibit hall.
Share your work and raise visibility for your projects, lessons, or organization.
Help advance ocean and aquatic literacy by putting engaging, hands-on resources directly into the hands of teachers.
