NMEA Webinar Series

The National Marine Educators Association (NMEA) is a diverse, international community of educators, scientists, students, and partners connected by a shared commitment to marine and aquatic education. This ongoing webinar series is designed to help members and prospective members better understand National Marine Educators Association—who we are, what we do, and how to get involved in meaningful ways throughout the year.

Each session in this series will focus on a different aspect of NMEA, such as programs and initiatives, leadership and volunteer opportunities, and pathways for sharing your work within the NMEA community. Whether you are brand new to NMEA or have been a member for years, these webinars are intended to provide clarity, connection, and practical information, with time built in for questions and discussion.

Upcoming Webinar (February 10)

The first webinar in this series will introduce NMEA and highlight what’s planned for the 2026 NMEA National Conference. Participants will learn about NMEA’s mission and community, as well as conference session formats, professional learning opportunities, and ways to participate as an attendee or presenter. This session is especially helpful for those who are new to NMEA or considering attending or presenting at the national conference for the first time.
