Not only is NMEA holding its first full-fledged virtual conference – but we will also be holding our first virtual auction and fundraising event. This event will include a:

  • Silent auction—bid online against others for a desired item

  • Raffle—purchase virtual raffle tickets to try your luck at winning desired item

  • Member sales—purchase member-created merchandise where a percentage of the sale come back to NMEA

The auction & fundraiser will be open to all NMEA members as well as NMEA Chapter members so that everyone can participate, regardless of whether they are able to join us at the conference this year. This gives us the opportunity to gather great auction and raffle items from around the country.

To make this a successful event, we need your assistance in gathering auction/raffle items from your area. Please consider reaching out to local organizations for donations.

If you are a NMEA or NMEA Chapter member who has a “side-hustle” or “hobby” consider donating something to our raffle or consider being an NMEA merchant.

To donate an item or sign up as an NMEA merchant, please complete the Auction Donation Form.

FAQs

Who will handle shipping?

We request that the solicitor or donor of the item do the shipping (but we can work with donors). NMEA merchants will be responsible for shipping of products.

Who will pay for shipping?

We ask that the solicitor or donor of the item cover the shipping cost – or we will determine a minimum bid that would cover the shipping of the item. NMEA merchants will be responsible for shipping costs.

What about international shipping?

As this is a new venture for us – international shipping of items will be limited to only electronic items that can be sent via email (e-certificates, digital gift cards, tickets or memeberships, etc.).

What are some good suggestions for item?

Use your imagination! Some potential items could include but are not limited to gift cards for experiences, hotel stays and restaurants, art and crafts, teaching resources and materials, etc. Just remember these items need to be able to be shipped.
