Evening Events

Every night at NMEA16 presents an opportunity to network with colleagues from around the world. Except for the event on Thursday evening, all evening events are included with Full Conference Registration. Additional guest tickets are available on a limited, "first-come, first-served basis." MONDAY

 

NMEA16 Tweet-up

5:00pm to 6:00pm | Location: Mist Bar 
Free to conference registrants and their guests


Are you a social media guru who live tweets all of life's most important moments? Do you have friends on social media that you've never met IRL? Do you know what IRL means?! Then the NMEA16 Tweet-up is just for you! This informal gathering is an unfacilitated, non-programmed opportunity for you to hang out with some fellow tweeps that you'll likely be RTing all week! And if you're looking to learn, then come meet the masters!

 

Conference Kick-off Reception
6:00pm to 8:00pm I Location: Renaissance Activity Lawn
Included in Full Registration, Adult Guest: $50
 

Enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, lawn games, and a science cafe on the conference hotel's activity lawn. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with friends new and old at the start of the week. Guest tickets are available for adults only.

 


TUESDAY

 

Evening at SeaWorld

6:00pm to 9:00pm | Location: SeaWorld (5-10 minute walk from conference hotel) 
Included in Full Registration, Adult Guest: $60, Child Guest (5-16): $40, Child Guest (0-4): Free

Enjoy an evening at SeaWorld! NMEA16 registrants and their ticketed guests will receive admission to the park, a meal voucher to use at their leisure, and access to a special NMEA16-only show at the Pilot Whale Stadium at 7:30pm.


WEDNESDAY

 

Annual Banquet

6:00pm to 10:30pm | Location: Renaissance Oceans Grand Ballroom

Included in Full Registration, Adult Guest: $95

An NMEA Conference favorite each year, the annual banquet starts with a cash bar and silent auction, followed by dinner and dessert, an always-exciting live auction, and live music and dancing. Full conference registrants and their ticket guests receive a drink ticket.


THURSDAY

 

Evening at SEA LIFE Aquarium 

6:30pm to 9:30pm | Location: SEA LIFE Aquarium Orlando

Conference Registrants and Adult & Child (5-18) Guests: $85, Child (0-4) Guest: Free


The SEA LIFE Aquarium, its 360-degree Ocean Tunnel, and more than 5,000 marine critters will be available exclusively to NMEA16 participants and their guests on Thursday evening. Tickets include aquarium admission, dinner, soft drinks, and dessert, a drink ticket for the cash bar, and exclusive access to a magical underwater world filled with a dazzling array of amazing creatures! Transportation from the conference hotel will be via public shuttle.
